We partner with coworking spaces to help their members reconnect with recreation.

Light Bulb Club

What is it?

In the middle of meetings, deadlines, and digital noise, it’s easy to lose touch with what used to light you up.

Led by Forms of Recreation, Light Bulb Club is a small-group idea-sharing session designed to help working professionals pause, reflect, and discover a path to reconnecting with their form of recreation — whether it’s something they’ve left behind or something they’ve yet to discover.

It’s not a workshop. It’s not a lecture. It’s an hour-long, guided conversation with up to 10 people, exploring the simple question:

What lights them up, and how do they bring more of it into their life?”. They’ll walk away with:

  • New ideas for incorporating joy and play into their week

  • Meaningful connections with others who are asking for the same

  • A gentle push toward reclaiming what lights them up

No prep. No pressure. Just space to reflect and be human again.

It’s for professionals feeling stuck, scattered, or disconnected from what they love

  1. Coworking communities looking to deepen connection and offer real-life programming

  2. Anyone who wants more meaning, more creativity, or more breath in their day

Recreation isn’t a reward.
It’s a return to energy, perspective, and possibility.

Light Bulb Club helps people remember what makes them feel alive, then gently nudges them back toward it. And when professionals feel more like themselves, they show up better — at work, in life, and in community.

Inclusions

Explore what is included.

Light Bulb Club is a residency designed for coworking spaces seeking meaningful member engagement.

We host 1-hour, small-group Idea-Sharing Sessions at your coworking location — helping members pause, reflect, and discover a path to reconnecting with their form of recreation, while building authentic community along the way. The residency also includes Recreation Peer Matching to spark ongoing connection among like-minded members, and a weekly-updated Content Library filled with inspiring resources, podcast episodes, and recreation reminders.

  • Each week, we host a 1-hour, small-group gathering designed to help members pause, reflect, and share stories about what moves them. These guided conversations are equal parts personal reflection and communal exchange — inviting members to revisit forgotten hobbies, explore new forms of recreation, and connect with others in meaningful, non-work-related ways. With space for up to 10 participants per session, these gatherings are intimate, energizing, and welcoming.

  • We offer light-touch peer matching to help members build on the connections sparked in each session. Based on shared interests or recreation styles, we introduce like-minded members through short email intros or group pairings — encouraging them to meet up, collaborate, or simply continue the conversation. This simple inclusion helps deepen community ties in a natural, low-pressure way.

  • Members receive a curated content library delivered straight to their inbox. This includes podcast episodes that explore the role of recreation in everyday life, real-world examples of branded recreation clubs launched by visionary companies, and weekly reminders to inspire personal reflection. It’s a lightweight way to keep the momentum going between sessions — offering inspiration and insight without adding to anyone’s workload.
